Review your life

For all of us, human being, are learning something since the day we came to this world until the day we leave this world forever.
When we are still babies, we learn how to say "mama" and how to walk.
At the time we are toddles, we are exposed to the big big world, discovering something.
In primary school, we studied those on text books and learned how to be friend with other kids.
During high school life, we studied even harder for public exam and learned about even complicated relationships.
When we proceed to university, we learn even more to acquire a degree.
Even after the life as a student, there are still much more things to learn throughout our life.
Learning seems to be a very important part of life.
But now as a college student, I'm feeling quite stressed, when it's not suppose to be like this.
At the time I click on the "Accept" button, I enjoy the free tertiary education, yet seems I've drawn myself into a bottomless hole.
Once my friend asked me "Do you feel happy now?"
I have no idea what answer I should give him.
He told me, even he's not a top achiever in academic, and he has to survive with limited allowance from parents, he work part time while studying for a diploma at some college, he feel happy.
Whereas for me, I have scholarship, everything waived plus a monthly allowance from taxpayers, I enjoy much more, but seems I dont feel happy.
Why is this so?
At first, I thought by accepting this scholarship, I can force myself to be more hardworking, and thus can fulfilling my dream to pursue study in architecture at some overseas country.
But things are never easy, as I go through the preparatory course at some college, the other scholars are really smart and hardworking enough to make me panic as I always seems to be lazy and blogging here instead of studying.
2 weeks away from mid term exam, I still find myself cannot concentrate to study.
And I find myself NEVER sleep before 1am everyday since last July.
Maybe there are homework and assignments to do, but time management is such a difficulty to me. Feel like 24 hours is just not enough.
During a conversation with one of my friends (who also pursuing an architecture course at some overseas university), he told me "I have a friend who is an architect. He told me to remind every students who come to do medical checkup NOT TO STUDY ARCHITECTURE".
In fact, the doctor dont know my friend at all!
My friend asked him why, and the doctor answered "you never have enough time to rest as an architecture student. what you do now may takes toll when you're in old."
"So you become an architect now. So what? You lost your health."
This sounds very true, especially for architecture and design-related students.
Maybe architecture is some kind of drug.
Once you dope with it, you can never recover from that.
The cause of all this is the passion of architects on buildings.
The curve by an architect will remain standing forever.
This is the art of eternity.
And the ultimate goal of being an architect is to change the world by your drawing.
"Pencil do the thinking."
Architects are just as medical doctors too, but what we treat is the build environment and the psychology and personality of mankind, its some very abstract thing.
Architecture students hardly find the time to sleep because of large amount of projects (they call assignments projects).
Some of my elderly told me "why do you study architecture since it is harder than medical or law or other professional courses, and you earn more than being an architect?"
One of my friend told me "dont you know architecture students have the talent to fall asleep within 1 minute?"
This shows how architecture students are sleep deprivated.
Wait... I'm just a pre-u student now!
But now I have abnormal daily routine (thanks to my college for the funny schedule), felt like studying away my life... ... ...

Do you feel happy now?
Do you have enough sleep within the past week?
Do you feel what you do takes toll of your life?

Take some time to review your life.
Make sure you are the master of your own life.
Cheers!

Mercedes Cat

When I was walking around at Ikano Power Center, I saw some ridiculous thing!

We saw this at a currency exchanger!

There is a Mercedes logo attached on the "jiu choi mau" (招财猫, fortune cat)!

Maybe the owner got his first Mercedes and to thanks the fortune cat, he put the logo on to the cat,

or

He just picked it up somewhere on the carpark near to his shop and attach it on the cat!

Sakae Sushi @ The Curve

On Friday night, me and a few friends of mine went to have dinner at Sakae Sushi @ The Curve.

We were there around 9pm, but there are still many people queuing up,
even more when the night gets darker!
Luckily the restaurant operates until 11pm...
After a few while we were waiting, 4 of us got seated and started to eat!

Honestly, this is the first time I visited Sakae Sushi.

This is how they serve green tea.
And there are hot water pipe around the sushi belt, you can refill whenever you like.

Fried Maki

Salmon

The salmon sushi by Sakae Sushi taste way better than Sushi King,
They are so fresh and delicious!

Ebi

Salmon Maki

Close up view!

Potato Croquette

Their menu booklet looks so high class and exclusive!

Best Spokeperson of Sakae Sushi
(I seriously need a haircut!)

Overall, part of the sushi served by Sakae Sushi taste better than Sushi King.
And they are much more cheaper! For example, a plate of Salmon @ RM1.90, even cheaper than those sold in Tesco, Jusco, Cold Storage, Carrefour, etc.
But for the other meals they are slightly more expensive than Sushi King.

However!
However, when I wanted to take a picture of their interior, the so-called captain (and also the cashier) told me, "Sorry Sir, you cannot take photo..."
Walaueh, now I wanted to blog about their restaurant, eventually driving customers there.
Since their attitude like that, so people, don't go there!!!

A man with Parang selling Durian

Earlier around 8PM me and a bunch of my friends have dinner at New Paris Restaurant, Jalan SS2/74, as today is Lester's birthday. The restaurant is fulled with people!

About the food there, as nothing so special, even though last time this restaurant is featured in the 8TV's HoChak show for its Champaign Chicken.

This is not as tasty as it seemed to be, only so-so, but if you want to try it, go ahead, not expensive though. The one I recommended is the Fried Pork Hand.

It really taste good. We 10 people ordered 7 dishes, including a steam fish 'sek ban' (coz I have no idea what's its name in english) which worth RM34, and the total bill is RM18 per person!

And I like their intelligence in cleaning up the tables. First, they cover the table with a few layer of plastic paper, one after another. When a table is done, they simply pull out the outter layer of plastic, and it acts like a plastic bag! So fast and no mess!

After that one of my friend suddenly felt like wanna eat durian... However there are no durian stalls around. We walked around and there's only one located around Jalan SS2/75, opposite to a bridal studio and a lighting decor store. The story after this is based on my friend's story telling as I left earlier.

We walked around SS2 and found nothing but that only store, so he went there to buy durian. When he approach the Chinese guy who is the stall keeper, he asked how much is it. The man said: "You go and eat first, later then pay." Then after my friend is done, he asked to pay, the man charge him RM58! RM58 For 1 durian! (Now you understand why durian is known as fruit "king") Walauehhh... My friend of course refuse to pay so much, and willing to pay RM30 for it. However the sohai took a parang and pointing to my friend's neck, "So now are you going to pay?" and asked him to take off his pants if he cannot pay. With his life threaten by a man with parang, my friend paid RM58. Shortly after that he went to the Sea Park Police Station to make a report. And here is the copy of the report.

So,my little advice here is: never go to that durian stall! Located around Jalan SS2/75, opposite to a bridal studio and a lighting decor store.

Ah.... I forgot to tell you something - The Chinese man told my friend before he left "Because you are Chinese, so I charge you less! If not it will be even expensive!"
